3 Reasons Why You Have Knee Pain ☠️

Just because you knee is the "Site of Pain"

doesn't mean your knee is the "Cause of Pain"

Unless, of course, you've experienced direct trauma to the joint, ligaments of muscles themselves

Why do you have knee pain? -- That's a good question.

think about it ...

Pain, in itself, is simply a REQUEST from your body for CHANGE

this change may come in the form of Nutrition, Movement or Ergonomics (work posture)

For example: we recently had a consultation with a young man who suffered from knee pain. In fact, it was a pre existing injury from playing soccer. His problems were compounded by Inhibited Glutie, Poor Ankle Dorsiflexion & Big Toe Extension. There was atleast two more significant factors that played a role in his pain symptoms: Firstly, his body was incredibly inflamed (could be food related) & we couldn't help but note his work boots! 3lbs boots on each foot are enough to create overuse stress symptoms on his already bashed up knees. Physio compounded his issues, because they targeted the knee when they should have been focusing on supporting the load bearing capabilities acquired from Foot & Hip. That is what our assessment discovered, but what about you?

3 REASONS WHY YOUR KNEES MIGHT FEEL LIKE ☠️

  1. Excessive Pronation of the Foot, coupled with Poor Dorsiflexion

  2. Poor Hip Mobility

  3. Poor Hip Stability

If you know little about how the body moves,

the above reasons just went clear over your head. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤔

HOW DO I GET OUT OF KNEE PAIN?

  1. Start by Stretching your Calves

  2. Improve Hip Mobility with Hip Air Planes

  3. Improve Hip Stability with Goblet Squats

WHAT IF THE RECOMMENDATIONS DON'T WORK?

  1. Assess Big Toe Extension: We need 45-65 degrees of extension ROM in the big toe to be able to walk without some degree of compromise or compensatory motion at other joints

  2. Assess Psoas Muscle: These muscles must be strong in long & in shortened positions! Big time power muscle that transfers force through the Legs, Pelvis, Hip & Spine

Now that you have game plan, get to work!

No one should suffer from Knee Pain.
